doing结构常用句式

1. It's no use doing / It's no good doing 做...是没用的

There's nothing you can do about the situation, so it's no use worrying about it.

It's no good trying to persuade me. You won't succeed.

2. There's no point in doing 做...是没有意义的

There's no point in getting angry.

There's no point in having a car if you never use it.

3. It's (not) worth doing 值得做某事

I live only a short walk from here, so it's not worth taking a taxi.

Our flight was very early in the morning, so it wasn't worth going to bed.

What was the film like? Was it worth seeing?

4. have difficulty doing 做某事有困难

I have difficulty remembering people's name.

I'm sure you'll have no difficulty passing the exam.

5. a waste of money/time doing 做某事浪费钱/时间

It's a waste of money buying things you don't need.

It was a waste of time reding that book. It was rubbish.

6. spend / waste time doing 做某事花多长时间/做某事浪费多长时间

He spent hours trying to repair the clock.

I think you waste too much time watching television.

7. be busy doing 忙于做某事

She said she couldn’t see me. She was too busy doing other things.

James is busy practicing for the school concert.
