在英国如何成为精算师？

度娘说：精算师是运用精算方法和技术解决经济问题的专业人士，是评估经济活动未来财务风险的专家。简单来说精算师就是保险公司雇用的数学专业员工，负责分析风险并量化其财务影响的专门职业人员，主要从事保险费、赔付准备金、分红、保险额、退休金、年金等的计算。同时，精算师也肩负着帮助团体理解其决策将会带来的财务影响的重要人员。
 
精算师是一个职业资格认证，在英国大学里即使就读了精算专业或数学统计保险等专业下设置的精算方向也只是一个学历，读完这些精算相关专业只代表你拿到学士或者硕士学位，和那些读物理的或者中文的毕业拿的是一样的，都是教育部授予的资格，这些和精算师职业资格认证没有关系。要获得精算师职业资格认证，无论是中国精算师协会的认证，还是国际上最为认可的北美精算师协会和英国精算师协会的认证都需要你们去报名参加他们的职业考试，通过所要求科目的考试并满足一定工作经验要求才能成为“精算师
 
那么，在英国，如何成为精算师？分为以下两种方式：
 
1. To become an 准精算师会员Associate member you need to complete the following:
-Core Technical subjects (CT1-9) either by examination or exemption
需要通过基础技能课程9门
-Core Applications subjects (CA1-3) either by examination or exemption
需要通过基础应用课程3门
-Work-based skills - 1 year minimum
至少工作1年
-Professional Skills Course
参加过专业技能课程
 
2. To qualify as a 精算师会员Fellow you need to complete the following:
-Core Technical subjects (CT1-9) either by examination or exemption
需要通过基础技能课程9门
-Core Applications subjects (CA1-3) either by examination or exemption
需要通过基础应用课程3门
-two Specialist Technical subjects either by examination or exemption
需要通过专项技能课程2门（任选）
-one Specialist Applications subject by examination or dissertation
需要通过专项应用课程1门（任选）
-Work-based skills - 3 years minimum
至少工作3年
-Professional Skills Course (if you have not yet taken this course you must do so within 12 months of becoming a Fellow)

那么，如果要成为合格的精算师会员，需要采用第二种方式，也就是一共要参加15门考试。考试难度系数非常大，学生不仅要掌握精算知识，还需要积累实践经验掌握如何在实践中运用。
 
还有没有别的捷径的？当然啦！获得英国精算师协会认可的大学，其学生有部分免考权，并不需要15门考试都参加，这样无疑为学生获得精算师资格证减少了不少时间和精力。
